Planning a Funeral

In the event of a death, you will need to decide on the type of funeral required. The deceased may have left instructions or specific requests which will need to be carried out.

Some of the important considerations are:

• Did the deceased wish to be cremated or buried?
• Are there are specific requests in the deceased’s will?
• Did the deceased specify what type of funeral service, if any?
• When and where would you like to have the funeral – a church, hall or our chapel, or simply a graveside service?
• What type of service would be suitable – religious, secular, informal or private?
• Would you like a reception after the funeral? If so, will this be in our reception lounge or somewhere else?
