PARKER, Tracy Lyn
11/12/1970 – 07/01/2026
Tracy died peacefully on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, at her second home, Dunedin Hospital, where she had worked for over 35 years.
Tracy was a loved daughter of the late Bob and Sandy Parker of Ranfurly, and sister of the late Toni. Tracy had endured many illnesses but faced them all with acceptanceand a sense of humour. She had a large family of Aunts, Uncles and cousins from Ranfurly and Dunedin, and was the one to go to if anyone needed to know what was going on. She also had a group of very good, close friends and work colleagues, who were an immense support to her and to whom the family are very grateful.
Special thanks to Nicky and Cath, who held her hand and were a great support to her as she went through her journey. Special thanks also to Professor Chris Jackson, for his unwavering support and friendship to Tracy, and also to the Oncology team for their care and attention. Our thanks to St John Ambulance, her homecarers and to the surgical and nursing staff at Dunedin Hospital, who looked after Tracy so well during her many admissions. Your kind attention to Tracy did not go unnoticed.
As per Tracy’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. She will later be interred with her parents and sister in Ranfurly. Love and kindness are never wasted.
